Dual Lock™

When 3M Dual Lock™ fasteners are pressed together, hundreds of mushroom-shaped stems interlock with one another. An audible snap announces that the fastener is locked. The result is excellent tensile strength which can replace unsightly mechanical fasteners in many applications. The durability of Dual Lock Fasteners allows for them to be opened and closed hundreds of times.

Dual Lock™ fasteners are available in 170, 250 and 400 stems per inch (approximate). For optimal performance, Dual Lock™ fasteners can be combined in the following combinations of increasing strength: type 170 to type 250, type 170 to type 400, type 250 to type 250 and type 250 to type 400. Dual Lock reclosable fasteners can also engage with many loop materials, such as the loop side of 3M Hook and Loop.

Hook and Loop

Hook and Loop Fasteners consist of hooks and loops which engage to form a quick fastening attachment and offer advanced closure alternatives to zippers, screws, snaps, hooks, and more. They offer greater design flexibility, faster product assembly, smoother and cleaner exterior surfaces and improved product performance in many applications. Simply pull the strips apart by hand to disengage.

Available with acrylic, rubber and flame resistant adhesive backing, as well as plain back for sewing applications.
