This demand has created opportunities for coatings companies to investigate solar heat reflective coatings as a means to combat the increasing energy costs. This study evaluates the effect of glass bubbles on solar reflectance, emissivity and thermal benefits as they relate to potential energy savings for white elastomeric waterborne latex roof coatings.
