    The 3M™ EMS Extended-Range Ball Markers have a self-leveling design providing accurate, horizontal position regardless of how it is placed in the ground, making the job of precisely locating underground facilities easier.

    The 3M™ Marker Balls allow for the easy marking of underground communications/CATV lines buried at a distance of 5 feet (1.5 meters). Marker balls have a unique self leveling feature, that insures the marker is always oriented to the surface, allowing for an accurate location. Like passive markers, iD markers provide accurate identification of buried communications/CATV lines, helping to reduce the risk of accidentally excavating other buried facilities. iD Markers can be programed to include customer-specific information, such as the facility owner, conduit size, placement date, and other important details. This information can be accessed and changed by 3M locators with the iD function. This can all be done without the need for an external power connection. It also has a water resistant polyetheline shell, which is impervious to minerals, chemicals and the temperature extremes normally found underground.
