3M™ Dyneon™ Fluoroelastomer FE 5623 is a di-polymer of vinylidene fluoride and hexafluoropropylene with 66% fluorine. This fluoroelastomer (FKM) offers improved scorch resistance and proprietary incorporated cure technology that may help save time and improve throughput. With an improved cure technology, users can create more consistent part size from successive molding cycles.

Excellent Mold Release and Improved Cure
3M™ Dyneon™ Fluoroelastomer FE 5623 is a di-polymer of vinylidene fluoride and hexafluoropropylene. This product can be compounded using standard water cooled internal mixers or two-roll mills with standard fillers and ingredients utilized in typical fluoroelastomer formulations. The dry ingredients should be blended before adding to the masticated gum. For best results, Dyneon fluoroelastomer FE 5623 should be banded on the mill several minutes prior to adding the blended dry ingredients. Once mixed, the compounded stocks have good scorch resistance and storage stability.

Dyneon™ Fluoroelastomer FE 5623 has a number of favorable attributes that make it suitable for use in a number of applications – injection and transfer molding, extrusion and calendering. FE 5623 offers improved scorch resistance at high molding temperatures. When it comes to quality and consistency, FE 5623 is clean running, has excellent mold release and can be used in automated injection molding equipment. Lastly, the improved cure technology results in more consistent part sizes from successive molding cycles.

Different Quantities to Fit the Job
Dyneon fluoroelastomer FE 5623 is available in different sizes, so formulators can find the right size for the job. FE 5623 is packaged in milled slab form (as opposed to unmilled forms like crumb) and is available in a returnable bulk shipping container system for 1,320 Ibs (600 kg) of material. The bulk container system is comprised of 48 individual polyethylene bags containing 27.5 Ibs (12.5 kg) of product. Smaller quantities are available in 55.1 Ib (25.0 kg) boxes.
